STAR TREK: TNG “MECORIA QUASAR ANALYSIS PADD” FROM “THE PEGASUS
A prop item featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Pegasus”; wherein “Commander Riker’s” (Jonathan Frakes) first commanding officer comes aboard searching for the ship they were both on together that was secretly equipped with a highly illegal “interphasic cloaking device”and “Captain Picard” (Patrick Stewart) gets a priority message asking for an update on their scans of the Mecoria Quasar. This item is a PADD (Personal Access and Display Device) and features a silver-colored, resin cast base with gold-colored and black detail on the front and back; a backlit LCARS (Library Computer Access and Retrieval) screen with a graphical application of a sensor sweep of the “Mecoria Quasar” on a black base framed by magenta and orange geometric shapes, strings of numbers in the shapes, the words “Mecoria Quasar 66476” at the top, “Bipolar Outflow Analysis 233” in the middle with “Accelerating Core Gas” in smaller letters off to the left, and “Sensor Sweep Analysis” in the lower right corner. A graphic of some kind of energy outflux from the Quasar is measured in increments of 10 to the tenth power Km and underneath is what almost looks like some sort of topographic figure. On the back is a small adjustable stand. It runs on a U.S.A AC adapter - input 120VAC, Output 24VDC and switch on the right side activates it. The item measures approx. 11 X 15 X 2 inches.
