STAR TREK: DS9 “MORN'S MUD BATH PUMP” FROM “WHO MOURNS FOR MORN?
A prop item featured in multiple Star Trek episodes like Star Trek: Deep Space Nine “Who Mourns for Morn?” where it appeared as the pump to “Morn’s” (Mark Allen Sheppard) mud bath. The item is made from multiple elements of vacuum formed plastic with internal electronic components that allow for multiple lights to blink in sequence. The item is powered by a bank of two 9volt batteries activated by a button on the underside, and another set of two AA sized 1.5volt batteries and another 9volt believed to power the green lights on top that have not proven yet to function, believed to activate by way of a similarly mounted switch. The other lights do function. The item is painted metallic pewter and features multiple black adhesive detail lines. A housing where the tube was connected in the episode features a removable device believed to have been used differently in Star Trek episodic television. The item measures approx. 18.5 X 22 X 8.5 inches. The two included 9volt batteries retain power from production use.
