STAR TREK: ENT “TENEEBIAN AMETHYST AND LOCK BOX” FROM “THESE ARE THE VOYAGES….”
A prop lot featured exclusively in “These are the Voyages…”, the final episode of Star Trek: Enterprise. The item is the ‘Teneebian Amethyst” prop and its corresponding carry lock box. Handled by “Shran” (Jeffrey Combs) the amethyst is of course a large cut gemstone colored translucent purple and palm sized, believed to be fashioned from glass. The item measures approx. 2.5 X 3.25 inches diameter. The lock box is a two part item made from molded resin and fashioned wood. The box separates into two pieces, a base, and a carry top. The base interior features a black foam lining for settling the amethyst, and fourteen wooden tines jutting upwards from the sides which interlace with a corresponding twenty matching tines jutting down from the carry lid. The lid features internal wiring for a 9volt battery which powers the external red LED lines on one side. Externally the item is adorned by metallic silver adhesive details and accents, and a bank of buttons that depress, one of which is a switch used to deactivate the light. The two sections of the box fit snugly together and can be difficult to pull apart, be careful. The items are both painted metallic silver. The lid features a carry handle. Together the pieces measure approx. 8.75 X 7.75 X 6 inches. The lot is accompanied by nine spare metallic silver painted wood interlace tines. This very special prop lot represents the only available item of its kind and is further made special due to its having been in what is technically the final instance of Star Trek episodic television… for now.
