STAR TREK: ENT “KLINGON COSTUME”
This imposing Klingon costume was made for wear during the Star Trek: Enterprise series. The coat is made of stitched brown and tan leather pieces with an assortment of leather and faux fur pieces attached to the shoulders for detail. The sleeves are made from a combination of faux fur and chain-mail at the bottom. Brass colored metal rings have been added around the chain-mail for decoration. The harness is made from an amalgamation of leather pieces over a fabric frame complete with leather rope style details and leather stitching. The trousers are chocolate brown with pleats down the front and back and stirrups at the feet. Black spats are added for around the legs. Costume comes complete with costume tag that reads, “Enterprise, Klingon” and the names of four background actors including stunt man J.G. Hertzler. Also included is a full head Klingon mask used in Star Trek VI: Undiscovered Country, during a courtroom scene that involved around 200 Klingons. In order to dress that many actors in Klingon makeup, the background actors in the upper balconies wore these full faced masks to make the process quicker than actually attaching individual prosthetics to their faces. This latex head has been completely painted and airbrushed with hair attached behind the forehead ridges. Facial hair has been added for eyebrows and a two part beard. Under the hair at the back of the head is a concealed Velcro strip to allow the wearer to take the mask on and off more easily. Measures approx. 12 x 7 x 11 ½ inches.
