An incredible find! The lot is the tea set featured in multiple episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation like “Lessons”, “Journey’s End”, “Preemptive Strike”, “The Perfect Mate”, and more for use by Patrick Stewart in his portrayal as “Captain Picard” and any company the character entertained. The lot is comprised of eight approximately 12oz teacups, a teapot with a lit, a creamer cup, a sugar bowl with a lid, and a tray. The items are all made from beautiful ceramic with a white glaze that keeps a rather flat sheen best for not reflecting harsh studio lights. The items have all been sculpted artistically to appear less familiar, or less everyday, and as such clearly go together. The teapot sits in the middle of the tray and four of the cups can rest immediately under it. The sugar bowl appears to be fashioned after a plant bud. The items are all etched with the word ‘SAENGER’ on the bottom and were crafted by Peter Saenger.

STAR TREK IV: “ANDORIAN WIG AND ANTENNAE”
A special effects item appearing in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home for wear by an Andorian commodore. The item is a shaped white wig with a formed skull cap that houses electrical components necessary to make a pair of antennae move. The antennae are made from blue and white painted foam rubber with a bent wire frame inside that moves the antennae when the item is powered and the twin receivers on the front of the head piece hidden under the hair receive sound. That’s right, the antennae actually move due to the rotating wire within them when it picks up sound. The electronic motors in the head piece are powered by 2 C size 1.5volt batteries, one of the motors is no longer glued to the inner skull cap. The wig is holed in two places for the antennae to stick through. A switch on the back of the skullcap activates the electrical elements of the item. It is believed that this item was also featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “The Offspring” and perhaps in “Captain’s Holiday”. |

They represent a pair of large felines with elongated paws that are meant to be mounted on the shoulders, a set of heraldic birds, and a cat-like face medallion, all oversized and seemingly meant to be sewn onto a black tabard that is no longer present. The robe features snaps and buttons for the tabard. Two sets of the jewelry are present, one is intact. The costume also comes with three rubber masks painted to appear as alien flesh in hues of blue and red. One mask is full and ready for display, the other two have been flattened and pressed during their time in storage, though all three are not in perfect condition, one maintains its aesthetic quality. |

STAR TREK: TOS “TELLARITE COSTUME” FROM “JOURNEY TO BABEL”
A costume featured in the original Star Trek series episode “Journey to Babel”; wherein the “Starship Enterprise” ferries dignitaries to a conference on the planet Babel. This highly fragile costume is a black jumpsuit with a unique thin sliver painted mesh layer covering it for texture and features a pattern of iridescent rainbow colored squares. Due to time and storage conditions the squares have rips in them and some of the mesh has loosened. The costume also comes with a belt that features a metal techno-buckle adorned with a dark red and a green faux button or knob and a bank of molded plastic mean t to suggest hardware. The belt is made from sparkling silver fabric made to match the costume. This item was previously listed erroneously and at long last has been reunited with its belt. No further costumes of this episode are expected to be located in the collection. |

STAR TREK: ENT “CAPTAIN ARCHER SPACESHIP MODEL”
A model featured in episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise like “Broken Bow” and “Similitude”. The item is painted gray with multiple painted cover panels (static) and the engines are highly detailed and realistic. Intact as opposed to multiple other versions of the model which have been available over time, this extraordinary display piece measures approx. 33 X 27 X 6 inches. |
