“THE STORYTELLER'S” ROBE FROM DEEP SPACE NINE
The item is a beautiful red robe worn by the appointed “Sirah” of a ‘Bajoran' village. It a was made for the episode “The Storyteller” of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine in which a powerful storm derived of the villagers emotions, the “Dal’Roc” was thwarted by the “Sirah”. “Miles O’Brian” (Colm Meany) accidentally found himself the heir of the “Sirah” and thus had to wear the robe and take the mantle of the title for a short time. Kay E. Kuter played the “Sirah” until he died in the episode. The title was eventually passed on to a native of the village, “Hovath” (Lawrence Monoson) as was the robe. The robe itself is made from red synthetic fibers on its interior, and red and multi-colored blotches on its exterior. The trim of the robe is an irregularly multi-colored pattern as is the hem. The entire robe is patterned with a gold thread design that runs as a spiraling triangle connecting to a zigzag in alternating directions from one to the next. The costumers tag attached is inscribed "DS9, # 414, Storyteller, Bajoran." |

STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE “HOVATH'S” COSTUME
During the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode “The Storyteller” a young Bajoran man named “Hovath” (Laurence Monoson) was set to become the “Sirah” of his village until “Miles O'Brian” (Colm Meany) accidentally found himself being the heir of the title. The “Sirah” is the appointed wise man that leads the people in a ceremony designed to thwart a powerful storm derived of the villagers’ emotions, the “Dal’Roc”. “Hovath” had been the previous “Sirah’s” apprentice until the arrival of “O’Brian” but was able to prove himself to the villagers and assume the mantle of the position. This is “Hovath’s” costume and while many of the Bajorans in the episode wore similar items, this one stands out. The costume is comprised of burnt orange colored, approximately 15-gauge corduroy with intermittent light splotches, cream-colored elastic stirrups, and buttons in the waist for suspenders. The shirt is also corduroy, approximately 9 gauge, darker orange than the pants, it zips up the front and clasps at the top. The vest is slightly wood patterned and opens about half way down the chest, it zips up the front. “Hovath” also wore a brightly colored sleeveless robe that hung from his shoulder to about half way down his thighs; it was patterned in a Southwest style horizontally and features a clasp halfway down. This very becoming costume has sewn in Deep Space Nine tags inscribed ‘Laurence Monoson’. |

STAR TREK X: NEMESIS “ROMULAN” FOREHEAD SPECIAL EFFECT APPLICATION
During “The Original Series” of Star Trek the “Romulans” were a mysterious species with basic make-up and hair special effects. When “The Next Generation” came around, their first appearance in the 24th century was a harbinger for dangerous times ahead and in the intervening years not only had “Romulan” technology and ships changed, but their appearance as well. The ‘forehead ridges' are reminiscent of stronger bone structure than their “Vulcan” counterparts and make the differentiation between the offshoot races more evident. The style carried over into episodes of Star Trek: Voyager and especially “Deep Space Nine”. Their role eventually culminated in the 2002 feature film Star Trek X: Nemesis that featured many “Romulans” in their ‘senate chambers’, crewmen on starships, and more. Almost certainly left over from this feature this latex forehead is a special effect application cast from a mold created specifically for actors portraying these character aliens. It covers the front of the head and eyebrow and is airbrushed flesh tone. |

“SULIBAN” SPECIAL EFFECTS HEAD APPLICATION
From the very first episode of Star Trek: Enterprise the Suliban seemed to be one step ahead of the Enterprise crew in the way of technology and time but its easy to do so when you are receiving information from a ‘mysterious benefactor' in the future. The Suliban had about as normal an appearance for an alien as they could, but beneath their mottled exterior hid the ability to change shape to look like other aliens, or fit under doors, and to turn invisible. This item won’t make anyone change shape or become invisible, quite the opposite! A full head wrap application made for actors portraying the Suliban aliens in various episodes of Star Trek: Enterprise that covers the whole head, and wraps around the whole neck leaving only the face open except for the eyebrows. Cast in foam latex, colored brown, then colored tan on the raised texture, this application is as impressive as the aliens who depicted them.

STAR TREK: VOYAGER “FEMALE Q” STARFLEET UNIFORM
During the episode “The Q and the Grey” of Star Trek: Voyager the ship and crew were beset by the meddling of “Q” (John DeLancie) during his attempts to alter the direction of the ‘Q-Continuum' by bringing about a new ‘Q’, his son. While he tried to seduce “Captain Janeway” (Kate Mulgrew) into helping him in this manner he neglected an old flame, “Female Q” portrayed by the recurring gust actor Suzie Plakson. This Starfleet uniform jumpsuit is the one she wore while pestering the crew of “Voyager” in the fashion most fans are accustomed to, by masquerading as a Starfleet captain. It is a black jumpsuit with stirrups at the feet, Velcro size fastenings at the cuffs, red command division shoulders a gray turtleneck long sleeved undershirt that zips up the back and clasps at the top. The interior tag reads ‘Suzie Plakson’. |
