STAR TREK: DEEP SPACE NINE “GRAND NAGUS” LATEX HEAD APPLICATION | |||
This incredible piece was used to create the appearance of the Ferengi “Grand Nagus”; the leader of the Ferengi Alliance during the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine series. His prestigious role grants him political as well as economic leadership of the race. Although there are at least six known Grand Naguses, this specific style of head application was only used on two of them; “Gint” (Max Grodénchik) who was the first Ferengi Grand Nagus featured in the DS9 episode “Body Parts”, and “Zek” (Wallace Shawn) who was the Grand Nagus for most of the 24th Century and appeared in seven DS9 episodes including “The Nagus” and “Rules of Acquisition”. It is most likely this piece was worn by Zek since he had the most appearances as the Grand Nagus. The application features the customary large Ferengi lobes with delightful hairy centers and a wart on the forehead! It's been painted to show skin texture and detail over its entirety. Due to time, use and storage, the application has some damage around the ears and back of the neck. There is also some residual white fuzz around the back of the head due to previous storage conditions however with some time and patience this should be able to come off. It’s truly an impressive piece for any Ferengi or Star Trek fan! |
