STAR TREK VI: “KLINGON DESKTOP CONSOLE AND DATA CARD” | |||
A prop data card reader appearing in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country during scenes taking place in “Chancellor Gorkon’s” (David Warner) chambers on “Qo’noS One”. The item is made from rust colored injection molded plastic with multiple raised details, Klingon iconographic decals, a raised mirrored ‘display screen’ with lights protruding underneath. The lights activate by way of a bottom mounted switch and are powered by a single 9volt battery to allow for sequentially flashing red lights. The top of the display screen features a slit to allow for the accompanying Klingon data card to be placed within. The data card is sturdy molded resin with a translucent acrylic slide positioned on the end. This item also features raised details and Klingon iconographic lettering as well as a pair of metal loops positioned on the sides, possibly for the attachment of a chain. The desktop monitor has seen some damage due to time and storage conditions. The top of the screen where the card slit enters is cracked thought intact, the electronics held internally are loose inside if they were ever adhered to the structure of the item. A series of no scratch pads are placed on the bottom of the item and dried pink colored Klingon special effects ‘blood’ remains from set production use. The items measures approx. 9 X 8.5 X 3 inches and 3.25 X 4.5 X 0.75 inches. Look for this rare item in the Star Trek VI DVD featurettes under the title “Penny’s Toy Box”. |

The item was said to be “Jake Sisko’s” (Cirroc Lofton) but was played by “Jadzia Dax” (Terry Farrell) as memories of a long forgotten personality resurfaced within her. The item is an injection molded crescent moon shaped affair with cut away where foam padding has been inserted to allow for plastic ‘keys’ to be positioned. A grouping of buttons rest across the top.
