This item is what "The Dopctor"/Seven" picks up and nervously fidgets with after her/his unexpected "encounter" with the Captain of the ship, it consists of a black, acrylic, segmented body featuring raised, gold-colored accents, black rubber grip where the fingers wrap around; the “emitter” or scanning end is comprised of a clear, acrylic cylinder jutting out from the top of the device featuring gold-colored accents along the sides and top(one of which is missing), a metal screen, and a purple light activated by an orange, rubber button above the black grip. The battery compartment is located on the left side under the raised, gold-colored accents and accessed through three screws and is powered by two AA batteries. STAR TREK: TNG “STARFLEET MEDICAL/ENGINEERING DEVICE” | |||
A prop item featured in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode “Tin Man” and “Identity Crisis”. In “Tin Man” it is used by “Geordi La Forge” (LeVar Burton) as an Engineering tool and in “Identity Crisis” by “Nurse Ogawa” (Patty Yasutake); it is dark gray plastic featuring black accents across the middle and near the emitter lights. A button near the exposed end activates two red bulbs on the front of the device and two smaller ones underneath, all powered by a single nine-volt battery that is visible from the rear of the device. The odd thing about this item is that it was made that the battery juts out the back and is actually visible on screen when used in the “Identity Crisis” episode. The item has very minor distress due to time and storage conditions and measures approx. 4.5 X 1.5 X 1 without the battery inserted. |

A lot of three scripts involving Vulcans from the first and second seasons of Star Trek: Enterprise. The first episode is “Fusion”; wherein the “Enterprise NX-01” comes upon a group of Vulcans who embrace their emotions called the “V’tosh ka’tur”. This episode was originally titled “Equilibrium” and the script is labeled as such. The second is “Carbon Creek”; wherein “T’Pol” (Jolene Blalock) tells a story of three Vulcans who crash land near a Pennsylvania mining town in the 1950’s and have to spend several months amongst the people there while they await rescue. The last script is “The Seventh”; wherein “T’pol” asks “Captain Archer” (Scott Bakula) to accompany her on a secret mission to capture an escaped Vulcan who has been on the run for decades. All three items feature the episode name, the date they were written, which draft they are, and have the writer and director on the title page. |

The items are the backing trim for a division strip worn on the left forearm sleeve of a costume uniform and corresponding engineering yellow fabric to be sewn on to the backing. The backing is made up of black felt bordered by two strips of white fabric and retains yellow threads from the removal of the yellow fabric. The items were not located together, the backing measures approx. 19.75 inches while the yellow fabric measures approx. 17 inches. Upon sewing onto a costume the extra length in the backing would be folded under at the joining seam on the inside of the arm. The yellow fabric not only denotes division but indicates the wearer to be a crewman or officer. |
